History of Sakura House

 Owner of Sakura House Mr John & his wife

Sakura house is a Japanese Restaurant which has been operated for 5 years. Mr John Chong,  the owner of the Sakura House have 20 years of cooking experience in a hotel which located at Melbourne. Mr John come back Malaysia from Australia for retirement. Because of his interest in cooking Japanese food, he started his business from delivering the bento set to the Japanese manufacture company which is the host company at Malaysia. He started to promote his business by spreading the brochure around the company to attract the Japanese workers to take order from him. Starting, Mr John's main business is selling Japanese bento. However, his business starting to get better due to the word of mouth within the employee from the company. Due to customer demand, Mr John not only deliver the bento but also change his house to become a small and nice home restaurant. Moreover, the Sakura House's interior  are all design by the owner himself. The environment is full of family style that consist of many Japanese  decoration. 

The name of the restaurant come from Mr John which mean Sakura is the national flower of Japan and due to his business is the home style restaurant therefore he put it as Sakura House.
 

The Japanese food that being cook by Mr John has been localize. However, if the customer request to have a authentic Japanese food , Mr John will comply to it. Mr john and his wife cook the food with a lot of patiently. Besides that, the ingredient used for the food are being order from retailers at Singapore or from Port Klang. All the products are import from Japan.

Due to the venue is small, therefore the seat for the customers  are limited. Customers are advise to make reservation in advance.
