Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き o-konomi-yaki) is a Japanese dish containing a variety of ingredients. The name is derived from the word okonomi, meaning "what you like", and yaki meaning "grilled" or "cooked". Okonomiyaki is mainly associated with Kansai or Hiroshima areas of Japan, but is widely available throughout the country. Toppings and batters tend to vary according to region. Other people might call this a Japanese pancake. Either way it’s round and as most people cut it into pie like slices and since it’s more like a pizza in the ingredients department I think pizza is a better description.
